Overnight, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have resulted in blackouts in multiple districts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

Moscow has increased strikes on electrical systems over the past few days, while the country's government has called for "real steps" from partner nations to exert influence on Moscow.

"What's needed is not window dressing but strong steps - from the America, Europe and the major economies - in providing air defence systems and applying sanctions," was stated in a public message.

Officials stated that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and several dozen missiles struck Ukraine's energy infrastructure, labeling such strikes as "premeditated" and against "essential services" as winter approaches.

Energy officials said Russia was "inflicting a massive strike" and maintenance teams were working to restore power.
