In a surprising collaboration that breaks usual expectations, the game developer has unveiled an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.

Strange Adventure Revealed

According to the authorized statement, "A strange meeting pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where rumors of prohibited rituals and monstrous changes echo through the darkness." The plot features a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a clandestine sect.

The adventure focuses on "peculiar experiments and a fearsome foe" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Locations and Metamorphoses

The preview showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer ends with a dramatic moment showing a character, presumably the hostage, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who accomplish the adventure will acquire an unique katana together with numerous artifacts secreted throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
